10 YEARS GONE BY.. wow.. a blast from the past.
I recently got a cassette of my old band ::THOUGHT JUNKIE::: from my good friend Melissa. or, as i like to call us, 'the best band that never was' .. anyway, i transfered some of it to my computer, and am uploading it so everyone can hear what never was.

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW,
SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE.

1. SOMETHING OLD - Ive been working with DMC for months, did his new DVD and all his album art.
2. SOMETHING NEW - Im helping a young rapper, launch his career.
3. SOMETHING BORROWED - Used my boy Dave's extra large pickup to move back into the city.
4. SOMETHING BLUE - well, lets just say my social life is struggling becuase ive been in the studio for 3 months straight. (GET IT?)
and, i grew the beard back.

DMC's song with Sarah Maclachlan is gonna be huge. And Gary Dourdan from CSI will be dusting the album for prints. (The guy has an amazing voice, and guests on a couple songs on DMC's album)

So, what's been happenin... Lets see, in the past 3 months, I saw my first major release in stores, One of my video's is playing on DICK CLARKS ROCKIN NEW YEARS EVE show. I've pretty much become Aerosmith's full time artist. hooked up a quick site for my boy chappy.
Spent alot of time with Eric in the hospitall... so.. I dont have time to do ANYTHING except work, but, hey, wouldnt we all love to do our hobbies full time?

the new aerosmith album comes out on the 25. and my american mut moniker will be pasted all over it.. its a good album..go out and buy it.. plus the more you buy, the better chance i have of getting perks. (no, not the kind you pop) but lately ive been working on a re-edit of the video for 'machine gun' by darryl mcdaniel (DMC). it should be flying on MTV anyday now kids.

so, it looks like I may be the next rick rubin. the only problem is, i just shaved my beard... see, i was growing one.. a real, big, grizzly adams beard.. but see the problem is.

1. chicks dont really like beards. (unless you're at a phish show or skiing in vermont. (i do neither)

2. food gets caught in them, more importantly, beards seem to be a magnet for butter.

3. people like to call you 'moses' or 'zz top'

4. you may possibly look like a terrorist.

that being said.. i shaved it, and went back to solo mustache... im kidding.. just a goatee.. with rubber bands in it.... and now people call me CAPTAIN LOU. ... right

the reason i may be the next rick rubin, is im working with a young rap artist.. who, in my opinion, sounds like tupac, which is good. so, stay tuned, and ill post some tunes later in the week.

what can i say... those of you that speak to me know what's been going on. those of you that dont... well, ive just been too busy to update my site.

here's the latest. i just finished editing the new aerosmith live dvd, ("ROCKIN THE JOINT") and it comes out in november.. the people ive met, and worked with, have been the coolest, most down to earth mother f-ers in the game.. needless to say, only good things are coming out of it.. ive met some real good people with some serious connections.. (uh, it's aerosmith here folks) so the next step is to get a real business plan to gether for UNDER SUMMER, and hopefully these cats and the people they know will get the film rolling (no pun intended).

thursday i think i get to go to a TARGET COMMERCIAL shoot with the band dave meyers..(this is all speculation folks) if you watch mtv, you know who he is... but the best thing is the people ive met, including the band and their team.. they welcomed me in to the aero-family.. it was quite humbling.. so, i think more work has come out of it, and ill keep ya'll posted. until then.. im back in the saddle.. again

ive been away for a while. left florida, came back to Mass. Needless to say, the riding up here is much better. Lots of hills. anywya, ive pretty much been busy doing the budget for the film, and pricing everything out. its been tiring. then something happened a couple weeks ago that kicked me in the ass so to say. now, remember, im not starstruck EVER. there was a time when i almost beat up Rob Schnieder at the super bowl too. (he thought he was entitled to being an a-hole)

i watched all the baseball/congress hearings. and I have to say. like everyone else. big mac, is a big liar. but whatever. take either side of the fence, there are bigger fish to fry. I think whats really the issue at hand is, I was actually interested in watching these guys get questioned. NOW... that makes me wonder. would i be interested in watching them grill guys from ENRON? or MICROSOFT? possibly. it seemed to me, that capitol hill is a pretty happenin place to be... now. What they should do to get the public more involved, is give these guys a makeover... now, im not talking queer eye, but more along the lines of the wwf?!?!?!?!?

hunter s thompson killed himself. Im honestly deeply saddened. and no, not in the "dude, ive seen Fear and Loathing 50 times" way. No, not the 90's gen-x , "i think maybei relate to this guy, (but someday i will be working at a bank and distance myself from my adolescent behavior)" way. I been reading his stuff since I was a kid. Thankfully my father littered the house with Rolling Stone. I read every rolling stone article he wrote. This is a guy who has the balls to write about Nixon's crash landing presidency, and at the same time writes for ESPN.com because he is a HUGE sports fan. There have been nights in my life where my friends and I have gone to the edge, much like, and inspired by the Great Dr. There are people that will never get it, There are peole that have always gotten it, and there are people that will eventually get it. I like to think that I eventually got it. Maybe because of behavior, or friends who opened my eyes. But Thompson was one of those guys who ALWAYS GOT it. He may have gotten it too much. he'd been to the edge many times. this time, looks like he went over. its a very, very sad day.

I have to be honest When the Pats won in New Orleans. I cried like a baby. I hadn’t cried like that since y grandfather died. Actually haven’t cried before or since.
Now, when I was in HOUSTON last year with my brother, it was almost as emotional. But not it was like. OKAY. We really are that good. And my brother and I played and went to college with Joe Andruzzi, so it was a little more emotional. (actually, I was on the roster but my GPA that year was 000.9 I think.

My mothers family is from Pittsburgh. I saw my grandfather and uncle a month ago. They said pitt was gona kick the shit out of the Pats. I think they mixed a couple words up. Now you have to realize, I probably don’t hate a team in any sport, more than I do the Steelers. I hate their coach, I hate their players, and their fans are bigger dreamers than half the kids who try and get on American Idol. Face it folks. It just aint going to happen. You see, the coach, Bill Cowher, clinches his teeth and his jaw everytime the camera is on him, like, we’re supposed be intimidated by the guy or something? He was a marginal special teams player in the late 70s. I hate them worse than ANYONE. Worse than the post-shaq Lakers, even more than the Yankees. See, I can respect a guy like Derek Jeter, diving into the stands, while NOSEMAR sits on his ass. That guy is a ball player. Steelers, as a whole. A bunch of assholes. I remember when I was in New Orleans in 2001, it was all steeler fans, they had bought their tickets before the AFC championship game was over.

I can only imagine it will be the same in Jacksonville this year.

ok so about two years ago, i listened to -queens of the stone age- songs for the deaf, about, ummm, 200 times. i literally wore it out. i havent listened to an album that much since master of puppetts when i was 11. now, let me state, for the record, that , contrarty to popular belief, im not a chauvanist. but i have NEVER, EVER liked girl-rock groups. hole, letters to cleo, fleetwood mac, they just never seemed to have the musical depth of most rock bands. singing about guys doesnt help either. however, i have to say, ive been fuc**ing mezmorized by the donnas new album. it's way above many things on the airwaves thesedays. altough, thats coming from a guy who just canned the airwaves for SIRIUS. go out and buy it.. go and buy the donnas new album, hey, it doesnt make you a wuss.

every once in a while, something comes along, that takes up all my time, sucks the life out of me, and drains my desire to work.. some of those recent things would be, south park volume 4, gold medal, by the donnas, lord of the rings on xbox, scarlett johannsen movies, and the latest:

trekkies - this film should be in the museum of modern art. words cannot explain. it's the best film ive seen in months. its a couple years old, but not to be missed. it will change your life, and make you realize, you're not that strange.

so my friend mike, who produced the bartending video, calls me to go to a party in miami on saturday. so i go. and, it's well, not really my crowd. so i start talking to this kid about "under summer', which gets us onto the conversation of music. he goes, "yeah, im about to blow this joint and go see VELVET REVOLVER at MANSION in south beach, you wanna come?" so, he takes us there, we get in for free, get a VIP table, and watch thse guys blow the roof off the joint. they played old Guns n Roses, and Stone Temple Pilots songs, which, i heard, they didnt do. well, they did, and it rocked. and i got tanked. awesome time. oh, they played an old aerosmith song, dedicated to dimebag darrell.
